hey guys,

my GOU has had a little more time stretching its legs..yesterday after some time gaming, my temp peeked at 69c. is this a tolerable range? what would be the limit on temps for GPU.

if it helps I'm running a XFX 380X.

thanks guys!

GPU temps can go up to 95+ and be safe, the ATI cards usually run super hot. Tbh a quick Google says they normally run around 70 on most games and go up to about 85 if you work it hard

I'd be very happy with 69C. As stated above, GPUs can get really hot - they're designed to run hotter than CPUs. I'd only be worried if an AMD card was regularly getting into the high 80s-90s.

My 280X at home is regularly above 75C when gaming. I'm currently running two 980Tis in SLI. So far I haven't seen the top card get hotter than 77C, which I'd consider very good. That was with the Firestrike Bench and also when playing Crysis 3.

cheers guys, good to know that it can still go higher i have it clocked so far :

core clock :1110 (stock 1040)
mem clock 1540 (stock 1450)

is that a decent clock for the temps then?

Yup that's very good.

My general rule for GPUs is anything below 85 degrees is good for long term use.
