Not looking to spend anymore really and I already have some HDD's.

GPU http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-347-SP £155.99

PSU http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-118-CS&tool=3 £80.00

SSD http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-033-CR&tool=3 £68.99

CASE http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-002-PT £89.99

Total: £877.81

Would anyone swap any of these components? thanks for any input. :) Been out the game for a while.

Hi, i have a few questions and suggestions.

Would you prefer a larger SSD? Would enable you to run games as well as windows then.

Are you planning on getting a second GPU? If not you can get a cheaper 550W.

Also the case, could get a much cheaper case.

With the savings you then might be able to get an i5 instead of the i3.

Thanks for the input guys, didnt really have a limit but will try to keep it around 900 tops I suppose. My aim was to go for decent quality/brand components as want it to last me a while. My current rig I built 5 years ago and gets used daily! I forgot to mention I already have an SSD as well I can use as well as a couple of mechanical drives.

stulid, the GPU I picked seems to be a generally better spec and only costs a fiver more? Any reason for that one?

Yeah I wasnt sure if the 750w PSU was abit overkill, and I probably wont be looking to get a 2nd GPU. For this kind of rig would 550 be easily sufficient do you think?

The 285 is newer tech and designed to replace the 280. The MSI has 3 years warranty.

Decent quality 550W would be fine. These days, I'd avoid the Corsair CX range if possible, as there are better options and with longer warranties.

YOUR BASKET
1 x SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £59.99
1 x Antec TruePower Classic 550w '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply £55.99
Total : £125.58 (includes shipping : £8.00).

The case you are going for has a PSU shroud and plenty room under it for cables, so modularity is not needed.

GTX 960 should also be considered against a 285 for a budget card.

What games do you play/plan on playing? And is it at 1080p?

If your budget allows the 290 is a pretty good buy right now, so is the 970 if your not planning on upgrading resolution.

You could get a 290X + i5 + AIO in there for 900 quid

or there's the new Corsair H110i GT and GTX which are pre-orders. Cooler is possibly a bit overkill though, but looks nice :)

Ok then, here is a i7 spec with a PSU with a 10yr warranty that will power two 290s easily.

What SSD do you have?
