How to achieve 3.8 maybe 4ghz ?

Hi everyone,

How can i get my q6600 upto 3.8 or maybe 4.0ghz stable ?

I do have a water cooler setup so temps should not be a problem its just what settings to use or max volts etc

I have the asus Striker II extreme with 0511 bios

The basic guide says pretty much everything AFAIR.

Also search option is your friend.

4GHZ is not easy on a Q6600, and the N-Forces are not that good for Quads bar the new 790I you have but I would say 45nm Quads are better on that Mobo.

when I had my striker extreme I got my qx6700 upto 3.8 in windows, wasn't very stable. on my new mobo, maximus formula got it to 3.5 stable but temps are a wee bit on the toasty side
