How to actually overclock ? :S

Hi ,
I have an AMD X2 3800+, i have currently used the Asus AIBooster to overclock the CPU to 2.2ghz.
How do you guys overclocks these CPUs' to like 2.5ghz ?
Do you use a specific program ?

Some advice: don't use programs to overclock; nasty things happen when they are used, plus they don't always overclock the best way.

Use the BIOS if you plan on getting a decent overclock.
