Do you want more Projects for Boinc i.e. Not Seti
Or more WU's for Seti?
For more Projects go to http://boinc.berkeley.edu/ theres some other Distributed Computing Projects there under Participate. Then find the Attatch to project option in Boinc Manager and paste in the website address of the project and then on the next screen create a new account for the project.
Should be your account page or the login for your account page.
Then find General Preferences and click View or Edit.
Then scroll to the bottom and click Edit Preferences.
Then under Network Usage
Connect to Network about every #
Whatever number this is set to your client will contact seti that often so a higher number cuses it to stash more WU's. Most ppl reckon 2 is a good number. I don't think it's a good idea to go over 4, there should rarely be any need to use more than 2 apart from the fact that Seti went down cause 3 drives failed after a power outage. Thats why theres been no new WU's at the moment.
yep it's a little misleading - it will still try and connect as often as possible but it will make sure it has enough work to cover how many days you've set it for
I always had mine set for 5 and that seemed to work very well, can probably get away with a lot lower these days now it seems a bit more reliable - as long as you're not missing deadlines there's nothing wrong with having a large stash
They should refer to it as the stash size not how often it connects.
If you set it to 2 days Seti will connect everytime a WU is finished because then it doesn't have 2 days of work so it'll ask for some more to make it up to 2 days again.
