I am having issues with connecting a Thunderbolt 3 display to my PC using the adaptor provided.. The display appears to work fine with my Mac Book Pro on thunderbolt 3, so i wanted to add thunderbolt 3 to my PC somehow? (Please note it has to be thunderbolt 3 not standard USB-C as its transferring data and video).

I have had quick look with mixed results on what can be done but wanted some advice before i buy anything..

PC Spec is:

Gigabyte X99-SLI-CF
I7 6900K
32GB Ram DDR 4 Quad Channel
Nvidia 1070 GTX

Anyone got any tips?

GIGABYTE X99 brings the expandability needed to make your system the ultimate one with an onboard pin header to accommodate the addition of a GIGABYTE Thunderbolt™ add-in card. The Thunderbolt™ controller can provide bandwidth of up to 20 Gbp/s, compared to a max of 10 Gbp/s on previous generation designs. This allows for incredible data transfer speeds when using high performance storage devices, while also supporting daisy-chaining of up to 12 devices and triple digital display support.
