Hello :D

I have moved house and my MacMini PPC nolonger sits anywhere near the router and seen as I have solid walls and floors ethernet is out the window.

Whats the best way to add WiFi to a mac? Im guessing a USB adapter? Can any be recomended?

Cheers for anyhelp with this!

for the mac mini I think you need, a combined bluetooth/airport module as the normal one will not fit, which has to be installed by an approved seller etc

But trying to find a USB one that works could be a bit tricky, because driver suport is a bit patchy for Mac OS X.

D-Link seems to be the most compatible of the lot:

DWL-G122 54Mbps Wireless LAN USB Adapter

DWL-G132 108Mbps Wireless USB Adapter

ralink chipsets seem to work well on the mac's, there are various manufacturer's that use there chipsets, edimax beibg the main one and also some belkin kit.

cheers

You can buy the airport upgrade kit, but it's about £50  I got one of those ages ago and fitted it to my parents mini, very easy to do as well :)

I think one of the DLink USB adapters is officially supported by Apple if you can't get a home install internal upgrade for your particular model.
