Morning all.

I guess this should be a simple task but for the life of me I cannot work out how to do it.

My son is set up on the computer as a user so he can do his homework and play games, he access to most programs and has had no problems. But today he was working on a school project and I suggested that he use Affinity Photo. I have the Affinity suite installed and use it regularly but it does not appear to be available in his start menu. Is there a simple way to give him access to the programs?

Apologies up front if I am missing something very obvious.

Thanks

Darren

Depends how it's installed. Usually programs will install in the program file folder and make itself available to all users. However I've noticed more modern programs now install themselves to the user folder instead, locking them to that user profile. This looks to be the case for the Affinity suite: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/167828-accessing-affinity-v2-apps-from-other-apps/

Probably won't work but worth a try, can your son navigate to that folder and run the exe?
Thank you.

I was able to have him log in and then using my password I was able to run the programs from the locations suggested and then add them to the taskbar which seems to have kept access so he can now access the programs with his own login.

Many thanks.
