I have a 32" TV that I use for gaming and it's in a fairly deep recess in the wall.

I'd like to back light it, preferably in blue or something similar. I notice OcUK have Antec Soundscience lights which would be ideal being powered by USB but they are white.

I've seen some sound sensitive light but they are around £30 which is overkill for what I wanted. Can anyone recommend anything or even a DIY solution maybe using a Neon light for a PC case (not sure how they would be powered).

Thanks

£30.... for some LED lights... that include a sound to light chip.... and that's too much??? Just how much cheaper does it need to be, McTavish? ;)

Go to Poundland and get a table lamp + blue sweet wrappers and a tube of glue. Then get a friend to switch it on and off in time to the beat :D

(Running cost of friend not included)

Eh lads, was thinking on getting an old arcade cabinet. Replacing the screen for an LED one and fix the controllers and run MAME and other ROMS via an RPI. Mainly having an arcade cab would look cool.

Ermm, You're not the actual Tony Williams.
What you posted had sentences, punctuation, and mostly made sense.

£30 for sound light LED's isn't to bad but what I said was it was overkill for what I wanted... by that I mean it's used for gaming only, I use a headset and therefore the sound thing would be pointless due to the fact that there isn't any!

I could be wrong, but I think you'd find white would be better (when you're actually using the screen anyway) because it'll provide neutral backlighting.

Try an auraglow colour changing light bulb and a cheap clip on bulb holder, they have the right white temperature, aren't bright and can change colour with a small remote, can help with eye strain and improve contrast in a dark room, not bad for under £20.

Used to get bits and smuggle em into prison. Like bulbs and joypads even steering wheels. Trick is, up your bum checks (yes checks) Got Simulators and MAME units in.

Had Tonys SUPER Mario. Where your a sexy young lad on the dole but began a tramp now you gotta keep it up
