How to beat scalpers and keep on gaming with this one easy trick!

Can see where single player games can work or something that's round or turn based. Football Manager would have been perfect - initially signed up for Stadia to try FM19 or 20 but the list of games you could play for free was different from the list in the email that caught my attention so...that was the end of Stadia account.
It ran FM fairly fast as I understand it but loses all the simple modding content like real club or player names, flags, images etc. The games heavily single threaded anyways so not sure its any quicker on server grade stuff than a fast modern CPU.
I can't see me ever running anything I play 'competitively' (Sim racing games like ACC or shooters like Gears - not to any high level or anything I'd be pretty average) through a streaming service. But for certain games the idea of everyone running a streaming client and all connected to a server farm running the game sessions could be better than current setups, sim racing's great until your race has drivers from Africa, Australia, Europe, North America, South America etc and guys are lagging all over the shop.

From what I've used of Geforce now, it would be good enough for me... if it wasn't for the large number of developers and publishers who removed their games from the platform.

Is the TLDR, get a streaming sub?

I just want a new budget card. If i wanted to play just AAAs then console is for sure the best direction. Consoles will be available soon enough unlike GPUs i suspect.

Pretty much but they all have their issues, especially Playsation's version. However for casual or non competitive gaming, some solutions are decent enough.

Some scalpers have moved to Belfast looking on market place I've seen the 6900xt for over 2 grand and a founders 3090 for £2600.

As somebody who has used both Stadia and Ge Force now, both surpassed my expectation. I completed Cyberpunk on Stadia and my experience was always solid. Same with Watchdogs Legion. All that said, if I could buy a GPU without having to sell my testicles I would. I've recently bought a Series X, which is an exceptional peice of kit, and I have broken down and sold the new build that was just awaiting a card. I will not pay scalper prices because everytime a person does that it just makes life harder for other gamers. If we could collectively hold firm this situation would be a little better. We would still have all the miner demand, but it would ease a bit of the pressure.

For now my ancient Kaby Lake I5 and 1660ti will plod on. I play mostly Iracing and Flight Sim 2020 and Euro truck. All of these work fine even bearing in mind I have a 43" Super Ultra Wide Panel.

Video dump and runs are frustrating. How hard it is to add a couple of sentences to get a discussion going and so that people who might be interested in what could be a very basic topic (get a gaming sub) don't have to watch a long video first?

I'm amazed what some will pay for a card with very little or zero warranty.

The premise of not supporting the scalpers is a good one but unfortunately there wouldn't be solidarity for the cause.

This was proven recently in the 3080 queue thread when the MSI 3080 Trio was cancelled. Some posters believed they should be able to jump into an existing queue, using date and time of order for position, pushing those behind them further back.

Yup, you don't need a graphics card, at all. Sold mine for a ludicrous amount of money and bought a Series X. Amazing gaming machine and quid's in. I wont be building a gaming PC anytime soon lets put it that way and I've had one for 27 years.

If consoles become harder to get hold of when the next generation gets released due to scalping not getting made illegal and more people getting in on it which is highly likely then I'll start weighing up streaming services, Amazon's should be out then too hopefully. Saying that I had a Series X within two weeks where I was looking for a GPU for 4 months.

I don't know who these people are that are paying this kind of money to game by buying scalped PC hardware but honestly you need to seriously consider what you're doing, it is way past beyond the joke now, you're literally having the **** taken out of you. And you're only playing console ports anyway!
