Hello all,

I currently have a HD 5770 and I will be buying a Sapphire Hd 6870 vapor at the end of the week, is there a way I can see the difference with a game like Call Of Duty with frames pre second rates.

For example on review sites they show a sceen with a game playing and you can see the frame per second and other information is there a way to show this in game?

Does this need extra software or can I run something in game to show this information

Thanks.

ok fraps is available in free version from fraps site but you just have some features limited.

it will show your fps .

depending on which cod you playing frpas can cause you getting kicked by punkbuster.

bops is fine with it.

you can also use xfire msi afterburner whole load of other programs

Msi afterburner is a good one, as it shows a lot of other info such as, temps, memory use, fan speed percentage. Also has screen capture and video recording built in, free as well which always helps.

Thanks, I've downloaded the MSI Afterburner, not too sure how to use it though, it seems more of a GPU utiility for OverClocking more then checking the Frame rates..

Do I launch it then COD, and it will record the frame rates?

You need to configure it in the settings/monitoring section, from here you can select what you want displayed on screen.

Thanks for your advise. This works great, the video capture is great too. Although it did shut my PC down on the first attempt, I think my GPU is on its last legs any how.

thanks again.
