I have just upgraded my firmware for my crucial ssd and also re-installed win7.

I would like to give it a test to ensure it's performing as it should be, what tools are people on the crucial forums talking about when they say they have benchmarked their ssd and it performs at xxmb/s read and xxxmb/s write?

Also how do i tell in win7 if trim is working? I have IDE set in the BIOS, do i need to set it to AHCI?

Thanks for that, trim is enabled, when i try and enable AHCI the computer blue screens and reboots, too quick to see what the error is and nothing in event log.

I have two pretty old sata disks alongside the ssd so it's probably one of them thats causing the blue screen.

I also found a benchmarking tool: AS SSD benchmark, only getting 172MB/s read (should be 200)and 101MB/s write (should be 150).

Fairly clean install with only firefox and ati drivers loaded.
