I'm wondering how to get a neat effect on how to blur out text... I have Adobe Photoshop CS2... I have done a Google search but couldn't come up with anything useful.
Either use the blur tool with a suitable brush size or select what you want to blur, feather it a suitable amount and then use the gaussian blur filter.
Not sure what you mean or why you can't find the right method. Do you want a even blur over the whole text?
Either
1.Select the text layer then go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian blur. It will ask you to Rasterise the layer first (so you won't be able to edit the text later) then use the Gaussian options that popup to adjust the severity of the filter.
2.Go to the blending options for the text layer and add an outside glow of the same colour as the text, and put the opacity to 100%. Adjust to suit.
