Hi all,

I need to come up with a plan on boosting mobile signal in our data suites, there are two levels two our building upper and lower level, unfortunatly when you start going in to the lower level you loose signal.

We have a couple of Vodafone sure signal boxes I think but thats only going to do the job if your on Vodafone IIRC.

Can someone recommend a decent booster that will work on all networks for our colo clients when they visit?

Interesting, I might take a look at these aswell. We also have a couple of suresignals but are pretty restrictive, 4 max concurrent preconfigured numbers with first in first out, even if you are on a call. We also seem unable to have more than 1 active at once.

My broad understanding is that any device which broadcasts a signal on the appropriate frequencies requires a license. The sure signal and other femtocells get away with being covered by the operators license, any boosters or such will not.

The basic version being, it's not (legally) possible. Options include phones which support UMA and a making sure you have wifi, or various VOIP/DECT options.

Absolutely bang on the money (as per usual).

OFCOM will come down on you like a tonne of bricks when they catch up with you.

Don't believe this won't happen. It will - and it isn't nice when it does.
