How to build a PC?

Hi guys, pretty soonish I am going to be buying parts from this site to build a PC but I have no idea how to do it. I read that it's better to buy the components individually then fit them together rather than buying the computers ready made from other retailers.

Anyone know the best sites for computer building walkthroughs? I found one but it seemed rather outdated.

The only thing I think he did wrong in that is from memory you have to install the firewall software to turn the damned thing off.. At least I'm sure I had to because it's hardware.
