How to build my first rig.

After much deliberation I think I am going to buy the components and fit them together myself. I have seen this done before, and even helped in the past but I have allways been somewhat uneazey with the thought of doing this myself.

If anyone could offer some friendly advice on things I should look out for whilst putting it together, tips etc would be very welcome. Obviously ill be doing my own research into this too, but the OC community seems to be more then savvi with this

not sure how I missed that sticky

ill give that a good read through now. The good thing is like you just mentioned I can have my old pc online if i run into a problem

The main thing which worries me is blowing the component because of my own fault. For example i know the mobo can be blown if not kept away from static. I guess its a case of been overly careful throughout the process.

Actually, putting the components together seems easy enough, would I have to configure the computers bios after fitting all the components together though ?
