Hello guys, :D I'm looking for a laptop to buy in uk just for hd film watching and surfing the internet. ive searched a couple of major shops in u, however all the laptops there are just a collection of fancy and useless stuff, windows premium ultimate 7, card readers, a bunch of ram and other irrelevant hardware/software for me, is there are any way to buy a laptop without that stuff that costs a half of the price? Is it better to look at the laptop manufacturers and buy through internet or go to a shop and buy there? is there are a way to buy a laptop without fancy stuff inside? Thanks

P.S. I'm targeting for a 200-300 pounds laptop with at least 15" lcd screen and 2.1 ghz dual core processor. What do you think the price should be?

erm.... tablet perhaps? the majoirty of laptops now come with massive hard drives and loads of ram, so they can compete with desktops

Just for watching HD film and the internet?

Get a smart tv and a bluray player for a little more :P

Edit: Hell, get him a PS3 with a 22 inch monitor for 300 squids even.

Get one of those AMD e350 jobbies that have video acceleration on the chip - great for multimedia and enough grunt for surfing.

Oh and please remove references to competitors, it's against forum rules ;)
