How to catch a predator..

Surely they get arrested shortly after that? Or is the fact that they will get beaten to death once the show is aired punishment enough?
 
I have to admit though, as sick as these people are and they should be locked up, but this is also entrapment
 
As far as I understand these are people with problems that we should be helping. Instead we abuse or ignore them if they do come for help, causing them to hide and bottle it up. No wonder there ends up a problem.

I don't want to keep them in prison for the rest of their lives, it's inhuman and incredibly expensive. It seems to be unsafe to let them free, so the only way I can think of, in lieu of any treatment is euthanising them.

I would have hoped we'd move on as a society and want to treat and prevent this rather than what we have now which is severe penalties, and nasty men ruining children's childhood.

What bothers me most is the glee in which people seem to revel when a paedo is caught, you have to wonder how sick someone needs to be to take pleasure in someone else's suffering.

Well like I said, they should be locked up, but what they are doing themselves is wrong

A lot of them are just stupid, but from watching a few of these now, a couple really are being lured into it after declining several times

What is the actual crime? I mean, the people on the internet the guys are talking to are over 18, the girl in the house is 19. are they arresting them purely under you've done this with someone who is "said to be underage"?

Isn't that entrapment and false incrimination?
 
no, the internet chatters tell the suspects they are underage and they carry on, the breaks many laws in America. Just because the actual chatter is over age the suspects do not know that.

And its only entrapment IF the false underage person starts the sexual chat. If the suspect makes the first move then again, they are breaking the law.
 
Love this show. Where i work i get a feed of a load of American TV so i can sit and watch fools on shows like this all night long!

While I agree with that side of things like you have said, Im sure there have been cases where guys have picked girls up in the pub/club been told that they are >16 then they still get done when it is discovered they are underage (after running to mum after the guys dont reply to a text msg or something) -Which I really don't agree with, what are we meant to do get there birth certificate and a written statement from the midwife?
