How to change wallpaper in iphone

Hi I have an iPhone 14 pro running 16.1 and can’t seem to find a way to change my Home Screen wallpaper while keeping the existing Lock Screen untouched, any time I try to pick new wallpaper it changes both, any help ?

Customise
Choose Home Screen or Lock Screen.

It gives you the option to “pair” the wallpaper to one or both but if you specify one then you’ll get one.

Long press from Lock Screen does give me the option but I click Home Screen change it and then it changes both even if I select home only, sorry not on the phone atm

For some stupid reason, it doesn't seem possible to do this, you have to set up a new Home Screen/Lock Screen combination and then you'll be able to have different images for both.

Just checked on my iPad and the option is still there as it’s always been, will recheck the phone when home

It's possible to edit the "home screen" only, but not the lock screen only. Weird.

Although if you edit the lock screen it'll use the same image for both... you just need to go back in and edit the home screen afterwards.

Not ideal but hopefully they change that.
