how to check and update gpu bios.

Hi all. I've been reading around on my current issue which is the coil squeal. A few parties are suggesting trying an updated bios. I currently run a gigabyte wind force 3 7950 at clock speeds. I understand the consequences when updating things like bios.

Any tips, thoughts would be great.

Further down it says how to flash the bios

My only tips when doing it are cross your fingers and hold your breath and pray to any gods you believe in.

Does that card not have a dual BIOS and a switch to move between the two? thought this was standard on the 7950 /shrug, if it does then its impossible to screw up flashing the BIOS (bar serious tardism).

Well I don't know what I'm doing, but there really is only 1 way to learn right?

it's not hard to do it... there are some different ways to do it... but the best way is doing on DOS.
