i bought a whole computers worth of items from ocuk a march 2006. Now one of them is screwing up which i beleive to be the hard drive from loads of diagnostic tests so im sending it back.

This got me thinking though that if it isn't just the hard drive and say also the mother board has gone i'd need to send that back afterwards. The onylt hing though it like with the motherboard ocuk no longer sell the one i got so i don't know the warranty is of the item.

is there any way to find out what warranty you get with them? is there like a standard one then companies like to offer higher or something as im pretty sure the ram is lifetime guarantee etc.

thanks

Generally with electrical components such as PCs you would expect a 1 year warranty minimum (I haven't checked recently but the Sale of Goods Act probably gives you that much as well as the expectation of goods to perform their intended funtion), other than that many manufacturers have a tool on their website where you can enter the products serial number and check the remaining warranty. :)
