How to check which office 2003 is which one?

We have about 40 dekstops in the office, about half of them got officd 2003 installed.
Now my boss wants me to check which office 2003 is intalled on each dektop, we have full box of office 2003 cds with key numbers etc.

I wasn't here when someone else installed everything and created all that mess.

Please help me to find a way of matching office 2003 installed on desktops with the keys printed on the sticker.

Thx for all your help.

You can find the key via 3rd party software. However I am not 100% it's legal to do so.

You're looking for a peice of software called Magical Jelley Bean Key Finder.

Web site: http://www.magicaljellybean.com/ ;)

P.S Mods, if this isn't allowed, please delete post as you see fit.

2nd vote for Magical Jelly Bean. It can connect to a remote computer's registry and retrieve the product key which is particulary useful.

And yes, it is 100% legal and license-abiding. It directly uses scripts which Microsoft publish on their KB website.

you could delete there key from the registry, and put it back in again. this way you know which one is going where! quite time consuming

*reason for deleting is that i dont think you can actually see your key in the registry its just a couple of registry entries!

here is the path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Registration

delete productid and digitalproductid, open up word/excel or something then re-enter a key, note down which machine it is!

OR

magical jelly bean! lol
