The more I read, the more of a nightmare this seems. I use the PC mostly in the evening/night so dim to dark rooms. So VA rather than low contrast IPS? But I like fast FPS and racing games, where I read VA's smearing can be an issue? Also sometimes have several people looking at screen fairly close so not keen on TN's low viewing angles.
And I also read about poor quality control, don't want to dead pixels!
