Bit of an odd question but one I really need to answer before I proceed forwards.
Been doing a lot of looking at and reading up on mineral oil cooled PC's. Not for any massive temp gain but more because I think it just looks so cool. I'm pretty much convinced I'm going to make one when I next upgrade my mobo in 2018.

However, got me thinking... I always re-sell my components later down the line to put the money towards the next upgrade (I'm sure most of us do).

How the hell would I effectively clean all the mineral oil from the parts without damaging them? The GPU for example would be tricky.

If I can't clean them then its a real concern as I will be down ~£400/500
Thoughts?

Hi, you can use Isopropyl Alcohol to clean your components.
Great idea. That would shift the oil. Might get a touch expensive though, I might need to submerge in it. I'll check prices. Obviously I would need to disclaimer when selling the components that they have been in oil and alcohol. Will probably lower their value a touch.
