How to connect controller to PC?

Can anyone tell me how I can connect a PS4 or Xbox 360 controller to my PC. Bit of a newbie and cannot get used to WASD for now.

search for ds4windows this will allow you to use a ps4 controller.
is the 360 controller wireless?

For a wired xbox 360 controller it is plug and play, for a wireless 360 controller you will need to purchase a wifi adapter, they are a few pound on fleabay.

Make sure you got all you need if you buy a wired 360, I got one in a deal with my graphics card and has a pc port, but it looks like I need an adapter as I have no idea how to connect.

I did buy this used mind.

Any cheap 360 controller on fleabay will work plug and play with PC, have bought loads of them and they will obviously say PC also on them, you can get one for about £7, bought one only the other week myself.

Forget the ps4 controller it is a huge nightmare. Use the Xbox one. Use the cable you charge the controller with and plug it into the USB hole.
