Right most graphics cards have DVI I connections are the end right?

Most LCD TV's have HDMI connection at the end (talking about 1080P ones in particular).

To get 1080P resolution from pc to lcd one must use HDMI connection on the lcd rather than D-Sub right? (if not the picture quality is probably better anyways).

Most conenctions i've found (well all) have DVI-D to HDMI not DVI-I, if I use this cable will this work on a graphics card that has DVI-I?

DVI-I is DVI-D + DVI-A...DVI-D->HDMI will work, but it will probably be very particular about the signal you feed it for correct displaying of the signal (so standard HD resolutions like 720p/1080i/1080p@60Hz only). D-Sub and component can also work ay 1080p, but there can complications with particular screens on particular connections such as overscanning, lack of resolution support, and lack of HDCP.
