Hi,

With Gears of War coming out on Fri I've bought Microsoft Advanced AV cable. I'm going to connect this to RGB scart socket on my 32" Toshiba but how do I setup sound?

I'm thinking I have to connect optical out on the RGB cable to my TV's white and red composite connectors.

What cables/adapters do I need?

I've been searching google and overclockers forums for a hour without any luck. I've looked at the 360 FAQ.

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks

The sound is passed through the RGB SCART cable, you don't need anything.

The optical cable can only be used on optical inputs on AV surround aplifiers. You can't simply convert that into 2x phono without some proper equipment.

Thanks for the quick reply DaveyD.

Know I know why I couldn't find any information on this.

For some reason I thought RGB only carried video signal.

Again thanks for your help.

You were probably confusing it with Component, which has 3x RGB phono connections, which come with Red/White audio phono usually anyway.
