I have been looking at the Amazon account and unlike eBay I can't find a way to contact the Amazon seller.
it was an elf on the shelf kids present and it arrived not in any packaging so my lad saw it.

a massive address label was stuck on the front and I don't see how I can cleanly get it off

and there is a big rip on the spine of the box.

the only option I can find on Amazon is to return and refund in 5-7 days. I *could* do that but it's a pita to return and not only that I would rather contact someone and explain to them what a daft idea this is for a children's present. I don't want to order another and it arrive in the same way.

as it is I will probably keep it and do my best to sort it out..... but my point is I want to contact the seller to give a heads up that it is unacceptable.

anyone any ideas ? I literally can't find a way to get to a human on the Amazon app for this order.

amazon web site (is that different to app ?) you can usually contact seller, send photo, which would be monitored by amazon (like the ebay analogue) and, frequently a telephone # too.

I've contacted seller before and they made a partial refund on a misrepresented item (demand that for your damaged packaging, say) , can often find they have a real world shop and dedicated web-site too.

Amazon are really bad for this in my opinion, had two bad experiences with Amazon third party sellers, out of not many more transactions than those.

I don't buy anything from Amazon now unless it's sold by Amazon, even then I don't use Amazon often, for other reasons.

eBay has much better controls in, I have used eBay for years lots of times, and had very few issues, the few I did have were sorted quickly.

Good luck getting this sorted though, hopefully lesson learned.

Amazon themselves just stick labels on product boxes. I would say they do it more than none FBA 3rd party sellers.

Was it fulfilled by Amazon?

I just looked you are right and on top of that it does actually say in very small print if you want it properly packaged you have to specifically request it . I guess they will say it is on me then (although that only covers 1 of the 3 issues, the damaged box as well as it being impossible to removed the packaging details without destroying it

thanks for the info.
