how to control my media center

Hi, i am going to throw together a media pc out of a spare P4 3ghz precott chip, motherboard and memory i have around and will have windows media center edition installed on it, What would you use to controll this?

I will mainly be using the media side of things but may also want to surf the net every now and then?

What do you reckon will a media center remote be enough?

If you're in doubt you could get a cheap wireless keyboard and mouse for occasional use, just switch them off and stick them in a cupboard or down the back of the sofa when not in use.

i'd say a wireless key board and mouse for net, then have a remote for just simple media stuff,

then you got the flexablity.

I got one of these for my media center, its far better than the microsoft wireless keyboard, but you still need the official MCE remote too.

please do not hotlink, especially from competitor sites!

What TV card are you going to use?

If its a compro jobbie then you can use the software in my sig to control your media center software using the actual compro remote.

ps. it can control everything,ie:mouse curser,(on-screen)keyboard,program hotkeys.....best thing is on/off from the remote(cant be bothered to get up and do it manualy..thats so 2002 lol)
