Hi chaps...

I'm using an XFX-5970-BE and it's over-clocked slightly using MSI-AB but i cannot control the fans, running quite high by the sounds of things in 2D, my cards BIOS is updated to enable fan control, i just thought MSI-AB would fit the bill.

Is there anything to fix this easily besides a registry entry to enable/power-save modes?

please advise, cheers guys.

Hi, no i haven't, actually i cannot control the fan at all in After-Burner, it's disabled, the settings don't show much to do with fans either, using v1.6.1, i think it's just not detecting my upgraded BIOS or because of the absence of a fan-controller chip, fans running at 30% idle.

might sound like a stupid thing, but in Catalyst Control Centre, under 'Overdrive' there is usually a bar for manually controlling fan speed % there.

here you go

Correct me if I am wrong but did the xfx BE require a bios update to allow fan control. I remember flashing mine just after I got it.

Edit: Sorry just re-read original post and saw you have flashed the bios. I can control the fan speed from ccc.
