How to cool Titan x pascal?

Stopped with a custom water loop, removed the corroded blocks and now I’m sitting with a naked Titan x pascal.

I remember stock air cooler was not great assuming I could piece it back together.

What other options do I have? I read something about an EVGA 1080ti hybrid aio cooler would fit but not sure it’s still stocked.

You would be lucky to get a EVGA Hybrid Cooler even 2nd hand now.

I never had to bother on a golden EVGA FE 1080Ti 2100mhz Core (stable in all games/benches) but the fan started to make an annoying noise so had to RMA the card and now have a Titan Xp (2017) and it hits thermal and power limits far easier so 2100mhz Core is not stable in Heaven but is in Valley and the few games I have played in the past year.

An AIO would be an option but if its just the GPU block corroded and you are using rest of loop, can pick up a new GPU block for that card still for around £80 or so.

Otherwise put on stock cooler. With a fan profile levelling off at around 55%-60% noise wise its not bad at all. It does mean card will be sitting at temperature target however so will not boost as high if it was cooler, but will still usually be beyond boost specs at that point. Not worth cranking fan up trading noise for the increase in performance 100 Mhz-200 MHz may net you.

Thanks

I think I'm coming to the decision to sell the Titan X Pascal to someone who may want to add it to a custom loop - and then buy a 2080ti

Waterblock. Get the EK Fluid 120G. And to nod use the CPU block.

Why don't you put the air cooler back on and see what temperatures and noise levels you get?
Yep. You can make your own fan curve like I did on the one I had last year. All that will happen is you will get lower boost speeds. Likely will be in the 1900mhz range.

The 3080Ti will be here soon.

'soon' ? I'm not sure I have all the screws to restore the Titan back to it's air cooled state

This is a PC I need for work from Mid-November things are going to be extremely busy until the end of December.. I need to be back up and running by then.

and personally I use a pc every day and will suffer until a new one is up

-- It seems the waterblock is end of life … so selling this is going to be tricky ..

Ok I have found the screws to put it back together.. so will get the bare essentials for now in getting this up and running - case, cpu cooler and psu.

I get 2100mhz out of mine under water. I got around 1700 ish on the air cooler without it driving me insane. So it's quite a difference. I also never see higher than around 49c either, even clocked to balls.

I've had two blocks on it now. A copper Aqua Computer one and now an EK. It's worth it, IMO. It does get rather angry when you want it to go fast.

Yep i got 2088 out of mine, but i've upgraded my loop/removed the mosfet block so i'm hoping for 2100 now. I've also replaced my old EK block with a new one and backplate so it looks nicer too
