How to create a playlist?

Not sure if this is the right part of the forum to ask this.

I want to put a few video files on a USB stick and watch them through my DVD player, but I'm wondering if it's possible to create some sort of playlist so that they play 1 after the other?

The files are .mp4 are the moment, but my DVD player supports Xvid/ MKV/ MP4/ MPEG-2/ FLAC/ WAV/ WMA/ AAC/ MP3/ ALAC/ DSD/ JPEG/ MPO.

It depends more on the DVD player itself. Video file type/codec doesn't affect it.

I suspect naming the files beginning with 01..., 02...., etc should do it.
