Guys, I have the downloaded files of Win8 stored on another partition however I want to install Win8 on another PC now. However the damm PC won't boot from USB stick (I created a bootable USB stick with win8) for some unknown reason. So now need to create a bootable DVD.

Tried the win8 setup and it just begins to download the files again (which is being hammered. 18hrs to download I don't think so!!)

So yeah anyway to create a bootable DVD from the ESD files?

what are the files in the esd folder ? i'm sure they're the same as the ones i have on my bootable usb stick which i used to install win8.if so maybe you can just put the files on usb stick & install that way.

They are the same files but I think the USB will not be bootable if I just copy from the ESD folder. I know bootable images are not just files and folders but not sure if it is the same for USBs as well.

Edit:
I saw FredFlint's message in another topic he said
Used ImgBurn to create an ISO of the c:\ESD\Windows\ contents, then used rufus_v1.2.0 to create a bootable USB pen drive from the ISO (or burn a disk in imgburn). then boot to the USB drive or dvd.

I will try myself this way as well.

Edit 2:
While creating the ISO using ImgBurn there is an option to save BootImage from the USB Disk and create the image using that BootImage. This way created iso can be bootable. Otherwise I don't know how you could get bootable image.
