that is fantastic.

and having been doing a little work in our garden recently, i know how much effort went in to that..

great job, look forward to more pics.

Eventually on the walk up to the deck, once we get the ground prepared - the deck takes up roughly one third of the total garden length - it was to make the previously unusable area a suntrap

Think about it - one large fence, a projection screen and one HD projector :) Plenty of throw distance, and plenty of seating.

Hmmmmmmmm, the possibilities.

Brilliant!

Do we all get invites?

Personally I would have probably had the steps down only occupy the middle third of the width of the garden and had steep sloping lawn or flowerbeds/nice low bushes either side. But I really like what you've done too. It'll be good to see it with all the flower pots around :)

Pity about losing the tree, granted it was blocking the sun but I always feel sad to see a good old tree go.

some unscrupulous field seems to have replaced your nice green grass with lots of nasty decking.

Yeh WAY too much decking , its not even a garden anymore :o. Put more flowers in atleast , especially as and when you sell the house all that decking will put people off

I can see your dilema in a slope like that.
From the pictures it seems like the steps are going away from your house, so you probably wont even be able to see any of the decking from the house?

Maybe in this situation i would have made natural steps in the slope with flat levels for planting and a paved stepway down to the bottom.

Funny enough i often have a dream where i have a garden with a long slope at the back of it, but its always covered in long reeds or something, i always remember thinking in the dream what i would do with the area. <--- odd ball.
