How to disable 1080p in PS3 - HD Fury related

Need a little help. How do I disable 1080p. It is not selected in the display settings as I'm only connecting via scart.

I'm basically using HD Fury to connect to my monitor but it's having problems (black screen) I've heard that i need to disable 1080p. But its not even selected in the menu (under scart) I can't select it under the hdmi connection as the tv doesn't have it!!!

Any help please

It cant output 1080p through scart. Perhaps thats why you cannot de-select it.

Does deselection mean its not ticked?

Try the old press and hold power button for 'x' amount of time until it bleeps twice, should reset it to default settings.

what sort of hd fury did you get? theres some duff ones being sold on the bay at the moment......if its a cheap tacky see through blue on its probably faulty.

Wait what?

If holding down the power button doesnt work when the Fury is in then its either faulty or you havent got it plugged in correctly. You will not be able to deselect 1080p with SCART as SCART is no where near capable of that signal so the option will not even be highlighted + each connection has its own individual settings anyway. Something is up the Fury are you using a VGA cable from your monitor to the Fury and then HDMI to the PS3?

update: I sorted it. I took it home and hooked it up to my brothers 1080p tv via hdmi. I deselected 1080 and left 720. This makes it perfect. It attempted to do hdmi in 1080 which my monitor couldn't do and was therefore displaying black
