How to disable onboard graphics card?

Hey guys,

I have a Gigabyte GA-M720-US2 motherboard and XFX Radeon HD 4890 in my Windows 7 computer. Since installing a new screen - Asus VH222 - the computer has only succesfully booted 50% of the time.

Windows often tells me there was a problem with the graphics card, but is unable to fix it and won't tell me anymore. It makes me think the computer switches between attempting to boot with the onboard graphics card and the Radeon card, and only the Radeon card is successful.

I have looked in the BIOS for how to disable the onboard card but couldn't work it out. If anyone has any suggestions they will be gratefully received.

Hey Jimmy, thanks for the help. I just had a good look through and couldn't find an option refering to onboad vga. There was onboard audio, 1394, lan control, but no vga.
 
OK, well in Device Manager there is only one device under 'display adaptors', which is the Radeon card, and I couldn't see anything else anywhere that looked like it might be an onboard graphics card.
 
Sorry for the confusion, you're right it is a US3!

So it doesn't even have an onboard graphics card! That would explain me not being able to find reference to it anywhere.

So why else could my computer only boot half the time? It didn't seem to happen with a Dell monitor I used to have. Only since I got an Asus monitor.
