Just had fttp fitted and was given a zyxel VMG3925-B10B by my ISP, everything is set up and running. I've check to see if there were any firmware updates and found the routers firmware was from November 2016. I downloaded the latest update from zyxel's website but when I came to trying to update the setting on the router they couldn't be found where they should be. Eventually after some googling I found if I created a new user on the router the hidden setting would re-apper and they did.

I've managed to update to the latest firmware and all is fine, but I've noticed something called TR-069 which was one of the hidden settings. After some reading I've found its a remote access of sorts so my ISP to access the router and change setting if need be. I really don't want this as an option.

I don't really understand the way to turn it off.
The settings are :

CWMP Active ------ enable / disable
Inform ------ enable / disable
Inform Interval ------ enter number in seconds
ACS URL
Username etc, etc.

I've disabled inform (which is how often it send information to them) which makes the inform interval irrelevant.
The thing that's for some reason I can't get through my head is the CWMP Active. If it just said CWMP enable/disable it would make more sense, its the Active after it which is making me unsure.

Sorry for the long winded question, but if I disable CWMP Active it should stop my IPS (or any malicious people) from been able to access the router?

Edit: Just to clarify if I press disable and apply it still says CWMP Active.

Thanks.
