How to drive like a tart in an RWD car?

NickXX wants to know how he can send off the rear tyres on his 330d in style before he buys new ones.

Soo...

post your 'how do to burnouts and donuts in RWD cars' suggestions in this thread.

Thnx.

Traction control off, apply lock, apply medium throttle, low gear and start to increase power, change into 2'nd (keeping the gas on)

Concrete surfaces (round the back of your average retail park) seem to shag the tyres on my trailer, so I'd imagine it'll have a similar effect on car tyres spinning.

Obviously, if you were a villan, you'd simply remove the tyres and wrap them around a GATSO. I'm sure you can guess what a said villan would do next? ;)

It's very easy.

If you want to be gentle on the drivetrain, then apply full lock and drive around in a circle on full lock. Get faster and faster until finally you boot it (dipping the clutch momentarily helps here) Keep the throttle mashed and make lots of pretty patterns on the floor.

Ah, that sounds cool. Should be a good way of finding the limits without breaking stuff :)

find a big car park. get it into first. drive around in a medium sized circle (about 2 car length diameter), half way round you then boot it.

the back will come round quite slowly.

if you are a god (like i am) you will be able to juggle the steering inputs to hold the car at varying degrees of sideways whilst travelling in arcs as large or small as you like.

when you become really cool, you can bring it to a point where the inside front wheel is pretty much stationary and then you can bring it out of the spin to then go the otherway.... so that you can toast the tyres on the other side

if your tyres are half way to 'illegal' to start with, you can ruin them in 10 mins on dry tarmac, but you will feel like a berk afterwards.

much more fun in the wet, dont have to try so hard

Put some milk crates under the FRONT wheels and then just go mad. It will most likely result in a major crash though.

Take pics :)

Do you have any mates?
Get them to pour some Motorway 20/50 oil liberally over the rear tyres. Then get them to press down on your bonnet (don't worry, they don't have to push too hard)

Rev the car far harder than you normally would (4-6k) and literally sidestep the clutch in first. If you get it right you will be motionless, wheelspinning. Your buddies can now hold the car easily on the spot while you murder your rear tyres. If you're quick enough with the 'box you might get to 2nd or possibly 3rd whilst still remaining static.

Looks like this (we used oil but no people for this burnout)

When they get bored they can jump out of the way. Keep the throttle floored and periodically steer from side to side. You'll probably keep donutting like this until the tyres physically give in.

EDIT
Was not a hooligan or boy racer in my youth, honest :o

Just got back from a cruise, was really funny tonight, sort of similar to burnouts so I thought I'd reply.

Everyone was parked up outside McDonald's and one joker in a ragged looking P reg Citreon Saxo 1.1 drove both his rear wheels onto McDonald's trays and put the handbrake on, then started driving and he was just spinning out of control everywhere doing donuts, then he went onto the main road and was travelling at 40mph with the car sideways lol

Nice job taking a small clip from my post in an unrelated thread completely out of context and then trying to make a point.

I don't condone this, this was the first cruise I've been to and most of the people were car enthusiasts but these guys were scummy chav idiots probably with no insurance or license but it was funny to watch, would have been a lot funnier if they'd have crashed though.
