How to enable 120hz mode on monitors ?

I have 3 benq monitors which are supposedly 144hz but when I go to the monitor tab in windows it says the refresh rate is 60hz and there is no option to change it to anything else.

Thus I'm not sure how I enable 120hz on them ?

I'm assuming your problem is coming from having them connected through hdmi ??

They need to be DVI to get your require HZ.

Think DP works also.

Make sure the DVI is heavy and dual link.

Sometimes it happens due to the monitor definitions loaded by the OS being incorrect but generally not a problem.

If your using DP you may find you need shorter and/or higher grade cables to get 120+Hz likewise DVI as mentioned above needs to be a dual link one.

Also use the manu's Monitor driver to get correct settings like RES+HZ from ini file.

Ok this problem still exists.

He has mini dp to dp cables going into two of the monitors and one dual link DVI cable going into the other.

He has setup eyefinity and in CCC it says the refresh rate of each monitor is 144hz however in Windows the only selectable refresh rate is 60hz. ALso the actual LCD settings on each monitor say they are running at 60hz.

This is very confusing. Help !
