I reinstalled windows 7 with AHCI enabled in the BIOS and i think i installed the right drivers but when i check the hard drive drivers it says from Microsoft 2006. I don't think i have AHCI enabled. How do i check and how do i enable it for my Asus p5q pro turbo motherboard? Thanks

AHCI is enabled in the BIOS and it should say AHCI [if it was not active it would say IDE or Legacy].

Windows also has its own AHCI driver, so nothing wrong about it saying its an MS driver.

This is what I used for my P55 based motherboard:

Also a good idea to use the latest intel inf files:

Make sure of course that these are the correct downloads for your motherboard/chipset!

The one in your first link are older than the rapid storage drivers and don't support TRIM, if you're using an SSD you should stop using them now.
