If I bridge the 24pin on the motherboard would it stop the PWM pump from getting power? if so how do I fill the loop without risking running power through the motherboard? probably a dumb question.

You are only providing power to the pump and nothing else. The jumper allows this to happen. Go to EKWB web site shop and find any of the kits they have for sale. You can then down load the instruction manual, which explains what you need to do in photos and text. Really good guide.

I had this problem a while back when i had my pwm d5. You just need to do this:

Connect the pump to a molex via PSU then take a piece of wire from green wire on pwm cable (stick it into the plug itself) then take it to the hole farthest from the red on the molex. easiest to go into the back of the molex itself so its connecting to the PSU.

That will run the pump at full speed so you can bleed it.

I recently filled a loop with a D5 PWM. No idea what % power it was getting unplugged but I just plugged the molex into the PSU, bridged 24 pin and turned it on. Didn't have any probs pushing fluid around the loop.
