how to find my win 7 serial

just wondering if someone could tell me how to retrieve my win7 serial please, it is a ligit serial i brought it from amazon.

i used one of these free programs but the serial it gave me doesnt check out with microsoft.

Are you trying to download the Windows 7 ISO from the Microsoft recovery page? Not all keys work with it for some reason. Heck, my Win 7 Pro retail key oddly doesn't work either :confused:

Yeah I've never had any of my keys work on that Windows 7 download page.

Firstly I'd edit the personal attack from your last post as it'll get you banned.
Secondly looking at your other thread (you got 2 accounts?) it looks like you have recovered the OEM manufacturers key from a laptop and are trying to use that to download an iso from Microsoft. That's not going to work, even if you did get hold of an iso somewhere you cant install the o/s using that key anyway.
You could get round this by cloning your old hard drive to your new SSD using Macrium Reflect though.

I am not convinced dyslexia causes typing errors.
My typing is atrocious, and often littered with mistakes.
I am big enough to realise that if I make an error, I can simply edit and correct it.

However, not knowing the correct word to use in the first place, would be a good example of a learning opportunity, something to be embraced. Typing in text speak, and using the wrong words isn't a great way to obtain assistance.
Neither are direct assaults against other forum members.

To your OP, magicjellybean found you the actual key, its an OEM linked key, it probably won't work with a standard retail install. One thing you might want to check before tearing your hair out:
Did you have pro or home premium installed before? Is that the version you are now trying to install from ISO?

Thank you for your help, I did get banned for a day and just realised I've been using 2accounts, and if you want to know why my typing is so poor I shall Tel you I'm in terrible pain due to cancer find it hard to communicate. as well and I'm really poor speller due to dexlia
