Hello I moved into a new-build house nearly 3 years ago and have never been able to get a connection of more than 1MB, my usual speed is only 768Kbps - shocking!
Ive looked up the SamKnows thing and my exchange (over 5km away btw) is fibre enabled, but how can you tell when the cabinet Im on will be?

Really need an upgrade I cant even watch youtube videos or even play xbox online without issues

Cheers

There isn't any solid way unfortunately, your best bets are :

email [email protected] with your whatever details you have ie cab number, telephone number and post code and they'll give you an estimate for their plans.

Keep an eye on the roadworks site for openreach works at or near your cab and go ask the engineers what they know when they're there.

Go out to your fttc cab every so often and look like a numpty putting your ear next to it to hear if it's been powered up yet.

the best way to to do continual fibre optic tests on bt openreach website . that was how I found out .. and it was well over 3-4 weeks before I got anything off my provider it was even available
