I decided to try and install a Linux distro after Windows failed for the 18th time and it changed the boot sector of two partitions on two seperate disks, as I tried installing it in 2 places as the first place failed but then so did the second.
So now I need to try and fix these partitions by directing them to the correct boot sector or whatever but don't have a clue how.
I tried using Easy Partition Recovery (a dos application) to do it but had no luck it just told me the error of can't read from boot sector. So I need to find some software which will fix the problem preferably a Windows based software.
My only option left if I can't fix the partitions is to use data recovery software and I'm not looking forward to trying to recover 300gb of data
EDIT: Nevermind I found some excellent open source software which does just the job. Here it is for anyone with similar problems-
