How To Flash Bios ?

Well im getting new cpu very soon 5200 or 5600 or 6000 amd2.(dunno which is best value)
My mother board Asus M2n-Mx supports upto fx range but bios installed now is the original drivers cd one.
Which version will i need to install to support the newer amd2 cpus?
How do i install this new bios ?
Idiots guide would be very helpful please as ive never done this before thanks.
Any links would be helpful as my kids have also ruined my driver cd aswell.so link to original bios if anything gos wrong got a back up.

I just use WinFlash for bios. But some say that floppy is much better and safer. However, i have no experience with floppy flashing.

Use Asus update, nothing could be easier.

Sorry to jump in but does the ASUS update work with Vista 64bit now? I have Vista running and don’t have a floppy in the PC, I’d like to update my BIOS and in the past have done this via the web (which is very easy).

i have an Asus A8V deluxe and used Asus Update v7.09.02

also running Vista Ultimate 32bit and it worked fine

quick tip, download the latest bios manually and use the windows flasher to flash "from file"

well tryed that thanks but when try install it just stops and says no motherboard canciling instilation.
quick one how much difference would i notice from a 4800 to a 5200 real world.
just seen 4800 for 80quid.
