How to format mac to 'as new' state

Hello, I would like to know the best way to get my Imac back to 'as new' status. ie is there a utility which will delete all my data from the hard drive and put the imac back to the factory fresh status when turned on.

Boot from the OSX install cd and do an 'Erase and install', it will wipe the hdd and reinstall a fresh copy of OSX.

Do an erase and install - make sure you zero out your HDD correctly and then once you finish installation and are asked to reboot - just switch of the machine.

When the next time it is turned on it will complete the installation as you did when you first turned it on

Do a 'practice run' if you have the time and want to make sure that works.
