How to format the boot drive?

dont you have another drive you can boot off? Then format through windows.

If not see if you can get your mitts on a bootable cd-rom with some data wipe software on! if you need some, add me on msn, think i got some lying about...
 
Make sure the drive you want to format is set as 1st boot in the Bios. Put your XP disc in the PC, boot to it and then format the drive. As soon as it finishes formatting eject the CD!
 
Would reccomend that you data wipe it though. You would be surprised what you can get off peoples drives, tested some data recovery software out today at work, and for a free download and a $40 registration, we were able to access all the users files that he thought were safe because he formatted. Seriously you can get everything back off.
