I love gaming on my xbox because I can do it form the sofa and its just so much more enjoyable than sitting behind a desk, but the damn tele is jsut getting used for watching too much... well, tele!

Take last night for example - said was going to hog tele for couple of hours playing dead space because I just wanted to be sure I could get at least one decent length session in. Took a fag break after just under an hour, and when I got back to the continue it was back on normal tele!

I wanted to hit something (or someone).

Tonight I am moving my xbox next to my computer, so that I can play the games I have for it in peace and actually be able to get into them. It just kind of defeats the purpose of having it cause I will no longer be able to chill on the sofa when playing :(

How do you guys cope in a one tele house?

My solution is to have two TVs in my front room. Girlfriend gets the 'crappy' 32 inch TV for normal telly and I get the bigger one for gaming. Sorted.

Big plasma in the living room with 360 and PS3 for gaming. Or, if my GF is in there watching TV, I go and chill out on the bed, which has a 32" LCD and 360 right AT THE END OF THE BED, RESULT!!!

So, to answer your question, I go to bed :p

Funny this thread should pop up, I was only complaining about the very same issue yesterday. I've done what you have had to and moved my 360 next to my computer and plugged it into my monitor. I agree with you though, it isn't the same as sitting on a comfy sofa playing it.

If I got an arcade console, could I swap my hard drive between the two without issue? So when I wanted to play on the one next to my pc I could just take out the hard drive and move it across and back again when I wanted to game on the on in living room?

It's just that I also use the one in the living room for streaming sometimes, so moving the entire console will be a pain.

Correct.

However, to use downloaded content on the new console, the account that purchased it will need to be signed into Xbox Live as the licence is for the original box.

im using those old 17 inch with built in vcr, sure its small but i set it up at the end of my bed so i can play all night at the comfort of my bed :p

There is only one account that ever really gets used, so that will always be the one that gets logged in.

I jsut don't know how the hell I would get audio. Going to have to have a look and see what cables/connectors there are and this weekend go out and buy what I need.

Can't believe I am considering buying a 2nd console of one I already have just to be able to enjoy the odd lengthy gaming session.... annoys me no end.
