How to get a new SATA 3Gb HDD working over SAS

Hey, I've running a P6T7 WS SuperComputer Asus motherboard and have run out of spair SATA ports, I have a new 2TB HDD which I want to plug in via one of the two SAS ports. Please can someone explain what I'm doing wrong, the drive isn't being detected in the bios or windows so I can't format it or anything yet.

Have you checked that the SAS controller is enabled in the BIOS?

Yeah nevermind sorted it myself, it was a driver issue
