Is this possible? My dads eyesight is bad so he can barely see anything so he says it isn't worth paying the £90 a month or whatever it is. If you threaten to cancel they can give you a discount but is it possible to get a permanent discount?

I haven't heard of anyone getting a 'permanent' discount applied. I've heard of some people getting discounts for 5 years.

Why not just get him Freesat? If he can barely see it probably doesn't make any difference?

I've never heard of this and I work for them. Some people have had long term discounts for several years but it's a rarity. Has he made sure to get the TV licence discounted? Also a lot of Sky programmes now have Audio description so make sure that's enabled.

As you work for them I expect you know about the 'secret' VIP Service ?

If it's not worth having then why pay for it at all?

Id never part a fart with sky nevermind any money. Only thing worth having is the sports. Sky know this that's why you got to have full package with sports and movies total rip off

I do. It requires being 'invited' by someone at a very high level who will then 'sponsor' said person. For example I can't sponsor someone but I have seen James Murdoch's sister, who's name escapes me but I know she doesn't and AFAIK never has worked for Sky being on the VIP list and sponsored. If anyone knows who he is Lakshmi Mittal paid for his Sky. Just being rich or well connected isn't enough.

I used to be on there. Twice. :)
